The following are the core beliefs of New Life Christian Church based on the foundational truths revealed in the Bible, God's written revelation to humanity, and embodied by Jesus. All that we do is rooted in who Jesus is and is a response to His love for us.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is therefore sufficient for all Christian life and teaching. (Proverbs 30:5-6, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:16-21)
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1-2, 26, John 1:1-29, Acts 5:3, Revelation 5:9-14)
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitutionary and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (The Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, Hebrews 2:5-18, Revelation 22:6-21)
We believe that salvation comes through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. Grace, by its definition, cannot be earned but is freely given to believers by God. (John 5:19-29, Ephesians 2:1-10)
We believe that all people are lost and sinful and will never find grace apart from God. (Genesis 3, Romans 3:23-24, Ephesians 2:1-3)
We believe that, for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential. (Ephesians 2:4-5, Titus 3:3-8)
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit. Only by His power is the Christian enabled to live a godly life and understand the Bible. (Proverbs 1:7, John 16:4-15, Galatians 5:22-26)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved to the resurrection of life with God in Heaven, and they that are lost to the resurrection of eternal conscious torment in Hell. (Heaven: John 14:1-6, 1 Corinthians 2:9, Revelation 22:1-5. Hell: Daniel 12:2, Matthew 10:28, Revelation 21:8.)
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Genesis 12:1-3, John 17:20-23, Ephesians 4:1-16, Revelation 7:9-12)
We believe that repentant believers in Christ should be baptized by immersion in water, in obedience to Christ. (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:36-41, Galatians 3:27-28, Colossians 2:12-15, Romans 6:3-4)
We believe that the sacraments instituted by our Lord for his church are the Lord's Supper and Baptism. (Matthew 26:26-29, Matthew 28:16-20, Acts 2:37-41)
